What's in my head, and on my bench, right now.

Identity

What does digital identity even mean once it's no longer only humans who need to be governed and secured?

Agents now sign, act and transact on our behalf. What do proof, accountability and trust look like when the thing on the other end was never a person?

Home automation

Rebuilding the whole smart home from the ground up, and dressing it up like LCARS.

Lots of fun down the Home Assistant rabbit hole. Right now I'm trying to make the whole thing look and feel like the panels off the bridge of the Enterprise.

Building

Working through a fifteen-year backlog of ideas with agentic coding tools.

Every project I never had the time for is suddenly a weekend's work. It's the most fun I've felt building things in years.

Listening

Falling back into shoegaze and emo in a big way.

Grateful for Los Campesinos!, Ride, Slowdive and the rest. Walls of guitar I'd half-forgotten how much I loved.

Reading

Reading more science fiction than I have in years, and Greg Egan has been a revelation.

Hard SF that treats physics and identity as adjacent problems. Exactly the kind of thing I love.

Running

Back out running, and setting new goals.

Mostly here for the runner's high.
